From 1994 until 2002, Pablo Media was involved in a wide range of software development projects. Listed below, these projects ran the gamut from media-creation applications to game software to QuickTime components and visual effects plugins.


Prismo Graphics: Wrote India Special Effects Titler, a new professional titling application for the digital video and film markets, featuring animated fonts, texturization, scripted special effects, lighting effects, real-time preview, movie and image compositing, and stock video (Macintosh and Windows 9x & NT & 2000). On June 20, 2002, Apple acquired India from Prismo Graphics. Led by Dave Howell, Apple used the acquired technologies to enhance its Final Cut Studio suite of professional applications.

AVerMedia
: Wrote all software for USB Presenter and iMaxEdit devices, including USB class drivers, System Extension, a Control Panel, a Control Strip module, QuickTime video output components, a QuickTime video digitizer component, a QuickTime transfer codec, a QuickTime movie-editing application, hardware test utilities, and more (Macintosh).

PicoStar
: Wrote video digitizer and codec components for a family of USB video capture devices and cameras (Macintosh).

Videonics
: Added support for After Effects plugins and Bezier curve editing to Effetto Pronto video-compositing application (Macintosh).

VideoBrush
(a Sarnoff Corporation spinoff): Developed VideoBrush Panorama for Macintosh application, for building QuickTime VR movies or still images from QuickTime movies, using Sarnoff's mosaic-processing library (Macintosh).

Network 23
: Developed prototype QuickTime codec and video digitizer components for Iomega Buz, a PCI JPEG compression card based on the Zoran chipset (Macintosh and Windows 95).

RAD Game Tools
: Ported SmackPlay Director Xtra, for playing back Smacker movies (Macintosh).

Azeena Technologies
: Fixed bugs and added new features in drivers for AV500, a PCI Motion-JPEG card (Windows 95).

Animagic
: Developed Capt&Comp mTropolis modifiers for video capture and image compositing (Macintosh).

Stomp
: Developed Composite Director Xtra for CD-labeling product, with QuickTime 3.0 image import and multibyte text rendered on a curve (Macintosh, Windows 95 & 3.1).

Xaos Tools
: Ported Terrazzo and Paint Alchemy Photoshop plug-ins to PowerPC (Macintosh).

DigiEffects
: Ported Aged Film Premiere plug-in (Windows 95 & NT).

Burnett Group Europe
: Developed NiceText Director Xtra, for rendering antialiased fonts with diffuse drop shadows (Macintosh and Windows 95).

Realtime Associates
: Ported Young Blood, an animated networked roll-playing game (Macintosh).

Zombie
: Ported Locus, a 3-D science fiction sports game (Sony PlayStation).

Westwood Studios
: Ported Legends of Kyrandia 3: Malcolm's Revenge animated role-playing game, on contract to Dreamers Guild (Macintosh).

Hasbro Interactive
: Ported Candy Land Adventure game, on contract to Realtime Associates (Macintosh).

Hasbro Interactive
: Assisted with port of Tonka Contruction Site game, on contract to Vortex (Macintosh).

Kara Computer Graphics
: Designed and developed Kara Fonts PostScript titling utility (Macintosh).

Serena Medical Electronics
: Wrote EKG Monitor utility, for viewing live data from veterinary EKG box (Macintosh).

Sonus
: Designed and developed D-50 Design MIDI patch editor (Macintosh).

New Video
: Led software development team for EyeQ AV codec board. Wrote QuickTime software, including various hardware codecs, VDIG, and other components, utilities, and applications (Macintosh).

Intel
: Ported Indeo 1.0 QuickTime video compressor component (Macintosh).

HSC Software (now MetaCreations): Developed KPT QuickShow utility (Macintosh).

HSC Software (now MetaCreations): Designed platform-independent graphics library.

Passport Designs
: Designed Passport Producer multimedia authoring environment.

Passport Designs
: Designed and developed Master Tracks Pro 4 MIDI sequencer (Macintosh).

Passport Designs
: Ported Master Tracks MIDI sequencer (Apple IIGS).

Digitalk (now part of Cincom): Fixed bugs and prepared upgrade to Smalltalk/V Mac development environment and Smalltalk/V Mac Goodies class library (Macintosh).
